This is my go to spot when I come to South Orange very good food and staff. The decoration makes the place feel complete and. The wait is very short taking me only couple minutes for pick up.

I wanted to try a new place with my mom and this definitely was amazing!! I really liked it. All food comes with rice on the side. Food was amazing, fish was fresh. It didn't smell fishy. I'm a fan. only thing is that it's loud.

I found this spot the other night while searching for a place to eat dinner with my girlfriend and her friend. It looked authentic and I liked the fact that it was byob. We stopped at a liquor store close by to grab a cold bottle of Prosecco to bring with us. No cork fee either. I loved the vibe of this place inside, but we opted to sit outside at one of the few tables and chairs with umbrellas in front of the restaurant. The service was prompt. Our waiter brought us waters and took our orders right away and the food came rather quickly too. We ordered:(but shared) - Sushi for Two 16 pieces of sushi, tuna roll, California roll, dragon roll 8/10 (the nigiri was very good and fresh, the California roll was good and the spicy tuna roll was too. It was definitely enough for two or three, but I ended up eating most of it because they all of a sudden became full lol) - Dragon Roll 8/10 (for my girlfriends friend which was tasty as I had one on the platter) - Pad Thai 8/10 (for my girlfriend and it was very good and authentic) - Salads 8/10 (for me and my girlfriends friend) - Miso Soup 10/10 (for my girlfriend) It's a great place to eat sushi and I'll definitely be back. We've been several times before, and keep coming back! Somehow we stumbled in on a few quiet evenings, so to see it packed on a Monday evening was a surprise, but well deserved. Ariyoshi is a very quaint and clean BYOB sushi with an interesting menu! All of their sushi feels incredibly fresh, and keeps us coming back. Their special rolls are small, but just right. I love their lemon roll so much I haven't tried many of the others. Their chicken dumpling appetizer is great, but covered in peanuts. The yellowtail jalapeno appetizer is also delightful. It's a 3 minute walk from the train station which made it the convenient monday evening stop. Only thing to note is that there is not a conveniently close liquor store so be sure to grab any wine/etc. On your way.

5 of my girlfriends and I decided to have a girls night a few Friday nights ago! We made a reservation at Ariyoshi because we heard from from other friend that this restaurant has private Japanese style "party" room! We loved it and enjoyed the privacy. This restaurant is BYOB! There is a parking lot right behind the restaurant, parking is free after 6pm. But there is ample amount of parking spaces.Owner and staff are super friendly, attentive and helpful. The resturant is very clean and neat. We ordered spicyseasame crispy chicken, age dashi tofu, korean beef, 2 order of sushi and sashimi (for 2). Everything was fresh and we had a great time! Prices are very reasonable and would definitely come back again!

I've been craving sushi and decided to stop here. It had great reviews so wanted to see what the hype was about. I was greeted warmly when entering and after about a 30 second wait was seated. There was quite a few patrons in the restaurant. Thee decor was aptly placed and depicted the culture of the restaurant. I ordered the Tom Yum soup and Philadelphia roll as well as spicy salmon roll. All was very tasty and fresh. I think I would've wanted the spicy mayo to be a bit more spicy. All in all had a good time. The soup was delicious and hot! Just how I like it!

I love this restaurant! It was always pretty on the inside and the lanterns on the outside are gorgeous. Everyone is so nice there, and the sushi is always incredible. It was one of my favorite restaurants when I lived nearby!
